OK.....so here's the news. It was announced today at church that Kent will take over the job of Minister of Discipleship at our church by the end of the month, barring any Biblical objections from our members. Kent told the youth group this morning in class, so they wouldn't be caught off guard by the announcement. A few of them cried and at the end of service, several of our girls were in tears, which of course, made my tears come. But as I told them, we aren't leaving. For our family, this is the right decision. So, now we begin a two week period of Kent preaching next Sunday, a Q &A session on Wednesday the 24th. And if all goes as planned, Kent will begin his "new job" on the 28th. Of course, he will still be doing youth work until a new guy is found. We feel God's guidance in this change, but it will be a transition for us all. Youth ministry is all I've ever known as a wife, but I look forward to what God has planned for us in this new position.
Testing. Testing. Is this thing still on???

Congratulations!! Wow, I guess we are all growing up and moving on. First George, then Terry and now Kent...however, Terry's still hanging in while they search for a new guy! Love you!
NCYM and Uplift will just not be the same!! Now, our only times to see each other are holidays! Kent can still come and speak to the youth at our TFWE, right?! Julie
Congrats on the new job for Kent. That is great. I know you both will be awesome.
And I love the pictures of your boys. They look like such fun.
take care!
Very cool on Kent's new position. I'm sure you are both excited about this opportunity.
Can't wait to find out what you are having!!
