Working

Just wanted to post that I got the job at Derek's school. I start Monday and report to the fourth grade teachers. Basically I will work with the students who are on the verge of special ed. placement and I will be doing intervention with them. I am so excited and thankful to God for answering my prayer. He is faithful!

Fishing

I tried to download pics and write inbetween them. I don't think I've mastered it, so if this looks strange or the words don't go with the pictures, I'm sorry!

We went to Bismarck to be with Grandma and Grandpa for Labor Day. The boys had been talking about going fishing for so long! We had a great time, although the fish were NOT biting! Grandma was the only lucky fisherwoman on Monday.

Austin helping Grandpa drive! This is one of his favorite things to do!

Derek enjoying the ride.

Praying for a fish to bite.

How cute is he!

Here's the lucky fish! Really lucky because he was thrown back in!

Subbing

So... baby #3 is going to be a lot more expensive than the other 2, so I'm now working! I subbed in a Kindergarten class yesterday. They were great, especially since it was only their 5th day of school. I've got another class on Tuesday in 2nd grade. Right now my prayer is specifically that I will get a full time "floating sub" job at Derek's school. This would only be for the 1st semester and would be great knowing that I could make plenty of money and not just when I can grab a sub job.

Well, I am already standing in my closet looking at all the clothes I can't wear. I don't know what I'll do for church tomorrow! I had Kent get the maternity box out of the shed on Thursday, not much in there made me too excited. Michelle, my friend from Mobile, gave me 2 big bags of clothes that are going to work. I'm going to send the mediums to Julie.

I am trying to step back and enjoy this pregnancy, since I know it will be the last! But sometimes I get caught up in the frenzy of everyday life and even forget that I'm carring my third child!

First Day of School!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent my two precious boys off to school today. Derek is a 1st grader and Austin started 3 yr. old preschool 1/2 day. Both boys were a little nervous this morning, but neither cried when we left them. Little did we know that Derek would be at home again by 9 o'clock! He puked all in the hallway, poor maintence lady having to clean up puke on the first day of school! So, he got a half day on his first day! So much for perfect attendance! I just picked Austin up and he had a grin from ear to ear. He had a great day and is looking forward to tomorrow. I guess I'll keep Derek home tomorrow just as a precaution. As for the doctor's appointment, everything is fine. I can't really explain what I have been feeling for a couple weeks, but I had a really bad feeling going in to hear the heartbeat. I started crying when I was telling the nurse what I was feeling and my blood pressure was elevated quite a bit. So she got the more experienced nurse in there to find the heartbeat. It took all of 3 seconds! I started crying again! Thank you God that everything is great. So I am officially 13 weeks today. Thank you for praying for me.

Vacation!

We got back yesterday from a great vacation to Orange Beach, AL. The weather was perfect and the kids were good, couldn't ask for much more! We went with 2 other couples and their kids from church. The week went by too fast, but now we're tan and ready for school to start on Monday. I go to the doctor on Monday, too. I'm a little anxious about this appointment. Hopefully we will hear a strong heartbeat and everything will be fine. Please pray for my anxiety.

Sorry it's been awhile!

So there has been more happen since Derek got ringworm. I guess I've been kinda lazy when it comes to blogging, sorry! We are in the middle of our youth rally here at church with over 150 teens present. Terry Davis is the worship leader. It's always so good to see him. Tony Hamilton from the Prescot church is the key note and he did a great job last night.

Some exciting news for the Jobe family...we are expecting baby #3 in late February. We are excited. I'm going to sub or maybe work the first semester at Derek's school to help with the finances of it all. People keep asking if I'm hoping for a girl. Ya know, I'm not going to get my hopes up at all. If it's a boy, then we have everything we need and experience! If it's a girl, well we start all over! I told Kent we can have a HUGE "we're having a girl so let's get rid of the boy stuff" garage sale. But as soon as we do that, the ultrasound would be wrong! My sister Julie is expecting a baby boy in late November. And my sister-in-law, Emily is expecting in February, too. And amazingly we have the exact same due date (2/25)! It's going to be so fun having cousins so close in age.

After the youth rally we're headed up to Norfork Lake with the whole Wilson gang. We'll be back in town Wednesday night. We have our youth retreat next weekend, then we're off to Orange beach for a week! I can't wait! School starts back for Derek and hopefully me on the 20th. I can't believe I have a 1st grader!

So that's what's going on with us!

Ringworm

Derek has ringworm! Don't know when or where he got it, but bless his heart he's got it! On Monday we were traveling to Arlington to go to Six Flags with the youth group. Derek was laying in my lap and I was playing with his hair. I noticed a large bald spot on his head and was inwardly freaking out! My first thought was alopecia (sp). One of our chaperones is a nurse, so I quickly consulted her and that was her first thought, too. Well, we took him to the doctor on Wednesday, which was Derek's 7th birthday, and he said it was ringworm. None of us have ever had this before. The doctor asked if he had been around animals and he hasn't. Mom and Dad took the grandkids to the lake last week and that's the only "out of the ordinary" thing he's done. We get the oral meds and find out he is allergic to them. His face was swollen, had a low grade fever, rash on his legs, chest, and back! So, we are on to another medication and this seems to be working fine. He has to take it for 6 weeks. I guess fungus is hard to get rid of! Tonight during his prayer at dinner he prayed for his hair to grow back fast. Sweet baby! The only good thing is there is a long layer of hair that covers the two bald patches. So when you see him you can't even tell.
